This is a State Structure Plan Study project
for Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus under the administration of Negeri Sembilan State
government with the collaboration of Pejabat Projek Semenanjung Malaysia, Jabatan
Perancang Bandar dan Desa (JPBD).
This study consists of detail planning of all fields of physical, social and
economic development spanning an 18-year period from 2002 until 2010.
This is part of the State government’s physical and social development
vision to make Negeri Sembilan a developed state by year 2015.
The study area covered the whole of Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus with a
total state area of 665,375 hectares. The study involve all seven districts in Negeri
Sembilan namely Seremban, Port Dickson, Rembau, Jelebu, Jempol, Kuala Pilah dan Tampin.
This study project is governed by the "Akta Perancangan Bandar &
Desa 1976 and Akta Perancangan Bandar & Desa (Pindaan) 1995".
The consultant study team consists of a total of 10 consultants specialising
in different fields of study. We are responsible for the study of infrastructure and
utilities comprising of Drainage, Sewerage, Water Supply, Electricity, Solid & Toxic
Waste Disposal, Telecommunication and Gas.

The Preliminary Report approved by State Government in
February 2002. It has set the scope of the Technical Report, which followed suit.
The Technical Report was produced after three month long
field survey conducted at all districts in Negeri Sembilan. A vast amount of information
was obtained from the relevant authorities in each state and then is compiled into the
Technical Report. The final copy of the report is approved in February 2004.

After many discussions held among the state authorities and consultant team, a final copy
of the Report of Survey is finally completed in April 2004. The Report of Survey is shown
for a month to the public for comments and objection on May 2004.

Careful and detail study in the previous report entailed a detail set of draft state
development policy. A set of state policy covering all field of study is carefully drafted
to cater for the need of state social and economic development.
The Draft Structure Plan is now the process of finalization. It will then
proceeds to be shown to the public for their comments, suggestions and objections before
it is gazetted for implementation and enforcement. |
